Jackie W and Her Betty White Gloves
Interviewer: So here today, we have cool Jackie with Shorewood Senior Living and she is going to be sharing with us a story.
Jackie: Back in the late 50s possible early 60s, I worked at a very expensive retail store back in the days when we did fashion shows. This was in La Jolla, California and I was the Assistant Fashion Coordinator and we had a large show in Rancho Santa Fe (California). One of our guests at the show was Betty White. After the show was over, in cleaning up and straightening everything up I found a pair of leather gloves where Betty had been sitting.
The coordinator contacted her and asked where we could return her gloves to and she said, "Oh don't bother, just keep them!" So the coordinator let me keep Betty White's gloves. To this day... oh my goodness, so many many years later. I can still wear the dark navy blue leather gloves and I cherish them deeply because I always, always enjoyed anything that Betty White did.
Interviewer: That's beautiful, thank you Jackie.
